As the first rays of sunlight peek over the mountains in Chattanooga, Ryan+Erick stand at the edge of the cliff overlooking the Tennessee River Gorge. They’re here to exchange vows in an April Snooper’s Rock micro-wedding, surrounded by close friends and family.

Snooper’s Rock is a beautiful lookout point located atop a cliff in the scenic Tennessee River Gorge. It is a popular destination for couples like Ryan+Erick looking to have an intimate ceremony against the stunning backdrop of the natural beauty of the area.

They opted for a sunrise timeframe, booking our two hour all-inclusive package. This works well for both elopements or micro-weddings. About two weeks before their day, they connect with our officiant to work out the details of their ceremony.  We build their timeline, ensuring we capture the poses and details they like, plus portraits with friends and family.

Every couple we work with is different with different needs for their day. Ryan+Erick’s day was more of a micro-wedding with fewer than twenty guests, so they wanted to be sure everyone could fit at their location. Having captured 10 weddings here already this year, we know the ins and outs of what works best here.

Ryan+Erick’s sunrise April Snooper’s Rock micro-wedding was gorgeous in so many ways.  There was cloud cloud cover earlier in the morning, with fog rolling in after their ceremony. This gave two totally different feels for their pictures, which we love.  After their ceremony, friends and family gathered at a nearby pavilion with a simple picnic brunch, champagne, and cake.
