We’ve listed the 6 best outdoor elopement locations in Chattanooga.  A mountainside overlook or cascading waterfalls create the perfect backdrop for these intimate ceremonies. These work great for micro-weddings, too!

Drawing attention to some of the area’s best outdoor elopement locations, this list helps make it easier for current and future clients to find the right spot.  And the great thing about elopements, is that they don’t have to be on a weekend, meaning the spot you choose will be less crowded.

We have recently built new all-inclusive elopement photography packages for these 6 gorgeous locations, making it even easier for couples to plan their perfect elopement or micro-wedding.

Snooper’s Rock

Snooper's Rock - Best Outdoor Elopement Locations

Located at Prentice Cooper Nature Reserve and the perfect place for sunrise ceremonies. You get amazing views of the TN river as it bends around the plateau. Depending on the weather, you may end up feeling like you’re above the clouds like for Alyse+Jeff’s sunrise ceremony. This spot is big enough to include a few guests, or as Laura+Greg or Alisha+Casey did, just themselves and the pastor.

Naked Rock

Naked Rock - Best Outdoor Elopement Locations

Lookout Mountain – Naked Rock is very similar to Sunset Rock. It has incredible views, but fewer people. We do engagement sessions up here often, and Ian+Caleh’s small ceremony with close friends and family was stunning. Cadlynn+Michael’s tiny elopement had the most gorgeous sunset!

Sunset Rock

Sunset Rock

Lookout Mountain – with gorgeous views of the Tennessee Valley and downtown Chattanooga, this is one of the most popular views for residents and tourists. It can be a bit busy, so this would be better for a middle of the week sunset elopement ceremony, like Sarah+Kevin’s. We do several engagement sessions a year here, but it would be great for a small ceremony. Be sure to check out Emily+Will’s session, too, for the incredible shots like above.

Cloudland Canyon

Cloudland Canyon

Lookout Mountain – a Georgia state park, Cloudland Canyon has easy hiking trails and great spots for a small elopement. Adam+Jordan’s weekday fall ceremony had the most gorgeous leaf color and clear skies. You can even hike down to the base of the iconic waterfall for your ceremony, for a completely different feel, as Casey+Austin did for their spring wedding.

Glen Falls Trail

Glen Falls Trail

Lookout Mountain – while this is not an overlook, it is an incredible trail on the side of Lookout Mountain. It’s lush, green, and has a gorgeous waterfall, perfect for your small wedding or ceremony. Luke+Rachel had the most perfect wedding here this past summer.

Falling Water Falls

Falling Water Falls - Best Outdoor Elopement Locations

Signal Mountain – a not as well known hiking trail, Falling Water Falls offers both views and waterfalls. Spencer+Leah’s engagement session turned out lovely!
