Being chosen as the wedding photographer for some good friends of mine, Ian+Caleh is such an honor. Not only are they friends of our family, but they’re also incredible people that make a fantastic couple.
Their wedding is coming up in August, so we did their engagement session this spring while things are lush, green, and it’s not too hot outside. It was so fun to capture them in and around downtown Chattanooga, and use our drone to get some shots of them on the iconic Walnut Street Bridge. They had specifically requested some photos here for out of town family, but they wanted to make sure they weren’t too cheesy – the bridge is such a Chattanooga icon that it can be a bit overused. The bridge itself is absolutely gorgeous, and being able to use the drone was a lot of fun and gave us some unique pictures.
We also headed out to North Chickamauga Creek to get some photos in a more rural, nature setting, which ended up being perfect. All of the rain over the past few weeks filled the creek and had everything in bloom.
I loved this engagement photography session because of the variety, but it being with Ian+Caleh made it even more special.
