A June Snooper’s Rock Wedding with Maverick+Alysse – an early summer wedding overlooking the TN River Gorge.

There’s a reason June is such a popular time to get married in the south. Everything is blooming beautifully and the temperature is warm without the heat of late summer.  And being at a higher elevation a the Snooper’s Overlook, the temperature is a bit cooler than in the valley.

Maverick+Alysse chose the 2 hour all-inclusive elopement package, working with our officiant, Matt Setliff, to plan their ceremony details. Their micro-wedding was held in the afternoon giving the rock overlook full sun and clear views. As we’ve mentioned before, Snooper’s Rock is best known for it’s epic sunrises, but afternoon is becoming a favorite, too. Plus, afternoon is usually more convenient for couples and their guests.

After the ceremony and family pictures, we stopped for some pictures in fields with tall grasses. And we ended at the base of Signal Mountain, standing on the shores of the TN River.  Snooper’s is great because it’s more than just the overlook – we know the spots along the way and back to stop and give some variety to your final album.

We truly love working with clients to figure out what works best for their needs. We have tons of insight on best locations, times of day, time of year, accessibility, and more. We’ve been to our suggested elopement locations so many times, they feel like our own neighborhood.
