As with most couples, when Matt+Micah were planning their big day, they knew that having the right wedding photography was crucial to telling their story.  Since we are good friends, they already knew my work and reached out about my availability.  I am so happy it worked out, and that I was able to give them the pictures they wanted.

Matthew is from London, Micah is from America, and they met in Sydney, Australia in 2003. They lost touch for a number of years but amazingly reconnected. He eventually moved to Chattanooga to be closer to Micah and the rest is history!

Their wedding at a little Methodist Church was gorgeous, followed by a fantastic time at Tennessee Riverplace for their reception. Micah looked stunning in her strapless dress, and her red lipstick popped in the pictures.  This gave her such an elegant and classically beautiful look.

Matt’s family is from Scotland, so their wedding reflected his heritage with custom made kilts for the men.  What made the day even cooler was that the weather helped give the day the feeling of being in the Scottish highlands – the overcast clouds and slight mist surrounding the mountains by Tennessee Riverplace was perfect.

Wedding photography is a big decision for couples, and being chosen by Matt+Micah was such an honor.  Working with them was a great experience from beginning to end!   I wish them the best on this new chapter in their lives!
